The Parliamentary Ombudsman delivers a lecture at the University of Malta

The Parliamentary Ombudsman, Judge Emeritus Joseph Zammit McKeon, was invited by the Department of Public Policy within the Faculty of Economics, Management, and Accountancy at the University of Malta to deliver a lecture on the vital role and functions of the Ombudsman institution in Malta.
The engaging lecture attracted a diverse audience, including students from the MA Public Policy Leadership program and the BA (Hons) Politics and Governance program. It provided a unique opportunity for students to interact with the Ombudsman directly and gain valuable insights into the institution’s historical context, legislative evolution, roles, functions, and the wide array of services it offers.
The two-hour session with the Ombudsman was both stimulating and fruitful, allowing students to delve deeper into the intricacies of the Ombudsman’s work. Dr George Vital Zammit, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Public Policy, coordinated this lecture, making it a valuable experience for all in attendance.
