Job Description

The role of the Office of the Ombudsman is to promote the right to good public administration and as an independent and impartial institution to investigate citizens’ allegations of maladministration with fairness and in a timely and effective manner, and to give a Final Opinion thereon.

The Role

The Driver / Messenger / Handyman role entails the provision of driving and messenger duties as well as light general maintenance assistance. The incumbent will be responsible for the proper maintenance of the vehicles, ensuring the safety of passengers and vehicles at all times and the maintenance of accurate vehicle movement records. Duties also include the carrying of all official errands, messenger work and assistance with light maintenance duties and general photocopying and binding of documents.

Applicants should have a good command of spoken and written Maltese and English languages coupled with a number of years of driving experience and a clean driving license. An ability to demonstrate experience in light maintenance work will be considered an asset.

On a personal level, applicants will need to be smart, have a pleasant personality, polite mannerism and a positive approach towards work.
